Cory Rybuck
My involvement with the Japanese community has been more on the sidelines as a supporting participant at various events over the past 20 years. My wife Junko continues to be very active at JCAM and our two daughters have benefited from the various programs offered to school-aged children. Beyond that, I have not been a direct, active volunteer for JCAM.
I am not currently volunteering for any groups as my career and daughter’s activities keep me busy on a weekly basis. However, my previous volunteer experience includes being a director with Literacy Partners of Manitoba (now defunct) and Chair of the Wetaskiwin (Alberta) Society for the Promotion of the English Language and Literacy.
As the current General Manager of Manitoba Egg Farmers, which is an office of 9 staff and overseen by a farmer-elected board of directors, I have experience in management, governance, finance, HR, and policy. I would say those are generally the areas of the JCAM board I am interested in. Thank you for your consideration.
