2023 Manitoba Japanese Canadian Curling Bonspiel

After a three-year hiatus, the Japanese Cultural Association of Manitoba (JCAM) bonspiel is back! We invite you to participate in our 18^th BONSPIEL/FUNSPIEL! It has proven to be a fun-filled event with lots of good curling, prizes, food and fun.

You may wonder why the change to the one-day format. The ice rental fee post-covid has increased significantly as has the cost of food. We hope the registration fee will not be a deterrent to your participation. We hope the fun format will also encourage new curlers to the event.

The location of the curling has also changed. We are returning to the Valour Road Curling Club (now the Thistle Curling Club) where our very first bonspiel was held back in 2003.

We need your commitment by March 1^st. Once we know how many individuals/teams have committed, Doug will then create the draw. Don’t delay. Please register today!

SATURDAY, April 1^st

• Tentative start time of 8:30 a.m.
• Japanese Cuisine dinner and banquet at the Japanese Cultural Centre at 6:00 p.m.
• Number of ends and games to be determined once registration closes

ENTRY FEES

• Only $200 per team or $50 per individual (includes curling, prizes & Japanese Cuisine Dinner)
• Each team to donate a prize for the Auction (approximate value $25)
• We will also assist in forming teams for individuals or partial teams. Experience is not necessary, so come have some FUN!
• Extra Cuisine Dinner tickets will be available so you can bring your family and friends

ELIGIBILITY - All teams must have at least one curler of Japanese descent OR a member of JCAM

Due to limited space, the first paid rinks are in!  Don’t be disappointed…please register today!

Payment is preferred by etransfer to etransfer@jcamwpg.ca. Please put in the comment box when you go to do the etransfer that payment is for the 2023 curling bonspiel.  You will receive a confirmatory email once payment is processed.  If you do not get this, please call the office to confirm your payment.

Registration must include the Registration form (Online version) or download a PDF version and mail it with your cheque to Sandra.
