Oyakodon, literally means “parent and child donburi”. It is a Japanese rice bowl dish with chicken, egg, and onions simmered together in sauce that is made with soy sauce, stock and served on top of a bowl of rice. The name of the dish reflects both the chicken and egg being used in the dish. Also enjoy a green bean side dish and matcha cookies for dessert with this meal.

This homemade recipe is big on flavors, juicy and melts in your mouth! It’s a popular dish enjoyed as Japanese style western food. Made from ground meats and usually served with steamed rice rather than buns. It’s perfect to make it in a hot frying pan or on the grill. Edamame and matcha cookies will also be served.
