Looking for Old Photos or Documents!
Do you have old photos and archival documents related to the history and culture of Japanese Canadians stored away at home or do you know of anyone with such materials? The JCAM History Committee is looking for donations of photos and documents that will be preserved and used for the History website that is near completion. Fill out the Archival Materials Processing Form and send it along with the photo or document to the JCAM office c/o of the History Committee. You will need to fill out the form for each photo or document.
There are three options for submission:
- Fill the attached form and then print the form out at home and bring it with the picture to the centre for scanning. Please ensure that your name, address, and phone number is written on a sticky note so that we can safely return the picture to you. DO NOT WRITE ON THE BACK OF THE PICTURE SINCE IT MAY CAUSE DAMAGE.
- Fill the attached form and either email form and image back to us at jcam.history.preservation@jcamwpg.ca. Please ensure that you scan your image at 600 ppi or, if you take a picture of your image, send it as the largest file size.
- If you have a gmail account you can use our online form and upload the picture or document using the online submission. Please ensure that you scan your image at 600 ppi or, if you take a picture of your image, send it as the largest file size.
If you have any questions, please contact us at jcam.history.preservation@jcamwpg.ca.
